The Open Cup technique creates fascinating colour gradients. Normally, you take a cup, cut off the bottom and pour the colour from above into the open cup. The colour now emerges from under the cup and mixes there, creating the colour gradients and often very beautiful cell formations. In this variation here in the video, I did not turn the cup upside down, only removed the inner circle of the cups. What remains is a wider rim that mixes the colour in a completely different way.
